Larry Jones was born on December 6th, 1940 in Hutchinson, Kansas.
His family moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma when Larry was 13 years old and was soon saved in his Sunday School class at the church he and his family attended.
Larry graduated from Ponca City High School and then went on to graduate from Oklahoma State University with a BS degree in Industrial Education, and a MS degree in Technical Education. This lead to a career in teaching where Larry used his knowledge to instruct students through high school Wood Shop, Auto Mechanics and Drafting.
After Retiring from his teaching career, Larry then moved into a second career as a successful Cattle Buyer and Rancher and Construction as a Pipe fitter and Millwright.
God's call on Larry's life has been evident for sometime, but only recently has Western Evangelism International come upon the scene. The ministry, although young, has been very active in many areas, reaching out as far as far western Mexico where WEI has made an impact for Christ in "One On One" outreaches to the poor and needy of the southern Baja region of Mexico.
Larry's desire has fanned the fires of his ministry, creating a visible presence that is quite refreshing. The longing to serve Jesus is the keynote of what is planned and being carried out both now and in the future, so watch for many great praise reports and events to come from Western Evangelism International in the coming days and weeks .
